1)Glenn along-with the rest of the members started as a back up band
Frey along-with Don Henley started out in a backup band for Linda Ronstadt. After Frey, Henley, Meisner and Leadon formed the band named “Eagles”, they become one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time. Frey played guitar and keyboards and also sang the lead vocals on a number of songs including Take It Easy, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Already Gone, Tequika Sunrise, Lyin Eyes, Heartache Tonight and How Long.
2)Glenn Frey is an actor too:
As an actor, he starred on Miami Vice in the first episode of “Smuggler’s Blues”. He was also cast in the role of South of Sunset but it was cancelled after one episode. In 1990s he starred on Nash Bridges as a policeman while he also starred on HBO’s Aril$$, portraying a political candidate. As a musician he has provided some of his songs to movies too. Some of them includes The Heat Is On,” and “Smugglers Blues” from Beverly Hills Cop, “Flip City” from Ghostbusters II, and “Part of Me, Part of You” from Thelma & Louise.
3)He has two wives:
Glenn Frey first married Janie Beggs in 1983. Janie was a debutante from Texas, As their personal life clashed too much they got divorced in 1988 after five years of relationship. After he got rid off Janie, he began dating dance Choreographer Cindy Millican, the couple met during one of Glenn video shoots. They have two sons and a daughter named Taylor, Deacon and Otis.
4)He has received tons of awards
As a singer and song-writer Glenn has won Six Grammy Awardsm 5 American Music Awards. HE was also inducted to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 with Eagles. In his solo career, he had 24 singles that landed on the Top 40 Billboard chart.

Legendary front-men and guitarist Glenn Frey died on January 18, 2016 at the age of 67 in New York City of difficulties from rheumatoid arthritis and pneumonia while recovering from intestinal surgery.
